What is chance?

Life is full of surprises!! I believe “chance” is one of the most powerful driving forces in our lives. Reflect on this for a moment. There are bound to be schisms on this view. For the scientist, Clement Timiryazev, Chance is nothing but an empty word that conceals the ignorance of a lazy mind. What do you think??
